Lee Price has spent 37 years with the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office. He began his career as a Deputy Sheriff in 1968. Five years later, he was appointed Sergeant. His rise through the ranks continued in 1979, when he was appointed to the position of Lieutenant. In 1989 Sheriff Duane Whiteman named Price Undersheriff. Ten years later, Lee Price was elected Sheriff. The Sheriff is married and he and his wife are the proud parents of six children. They both are very committed to children, having served as foster parents for approximately 50 children.
