Sheriff
Pelkey served with the New York State Police for 25 years. Prior to his
retirement from the State Police, he was Supervisor of the Malone Bureau of
Criminal Investigation. He was involved in a great many high profile felony
cases that were brought to closure by arrests. The Sheriff is a criminal
justice graduate of Canton ATC. Throughout his law enforcement career, he
has attended countless schools and seminars including the prestigious Col.
Henry F. Williams Homicide Seminar, which brings homicide detectives from
all over the world together for intense, cutting-edge training. Sheriff
Pelkey is the recipient of the New York State Police Superintendent’s
Commendation. He is a four year Veteran of the United States Navy. Franklin
County has a population of 46,540 and an area of 1,774 square miles. |
