A. (“Moe”) Todd is currently serving a second term in the Office of Sheriff
of Oswego County, having first been elected in 1998. He continues a 30-year
plus law enforcement career, climbing through the ranks of Sergeant,
Criminal Investigator and Undersheriff with the Oswego County Sheriff’s
Office. As Undersheriff, he was active in the planning and construction of a
new public safety building/correctional facility and played a pivotal role
in getting the Sheriff’s Law Enforcement Division accredited by the New York
State Division of Criminal Justice Services. Now as Sheriff, he continues to
have his agency so recognized, having the office receive re-accreditation in
2003. The Sheriff has received extensive training in law enforcement,
corrections administration, and civil process and is a graduate of the FBI
National Academy. He has served the Office of Homeland Security as Chairman
of the Counter-Terrorism Committee, Zone 7 and remains an active member
serving on the Statewide Counter-Terrorism Executive Committee. He is active
in numerous community programs and currently serves the New York State
Sheriffs’ Association as a Second Vice-President. Oswego County has a
population of 122,377 and an area of 968 square miles. |
